I will be presenting a recital of recent compositions on October 16, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, Recital Hall. Admission is free. The Stephens Center is at 1200 10th Ave. S. in Birmingham, Alabama. The recital will feature complete performances of some of the above works, Asa Misi Masa, Eat the Magic Cookie!, Sonata for Cello and Tape, Double-Reed Derivation. and the work that spawned the last piece, Noon Song for oboe and piano. Guest artists will include oboist, Kelly Newport; pianist, Dale Reynolds; and cellist, Craig Hultgren. The Spirit Boat will be installed in the lobby.
